Nuclear "Nike" Missiles surrounded Los Angeles County until their decommissioning in 1978. Even in the hills of Malibu and Porter Ranch, above Chatsworth were Nike sites. The records of accidents are unknown and classified. There have been unusually high reports of Breast Cancer and Thyroid Conditions around these facilities.
